Mini Maria, vase

A unique vase made from a flat sheet of Britannia silver, hand-hammered and sculpted into shape, using traditional techniques of raising and chasing. The interior glows due to the gold gilding on the internal polished surface. Inspired by the drape and fold of fabric, this piece has a continuous flow of movement as the fabric wraps its way around the body of the vase from top to bottom. The changing texture and undulations of the metal’s surface play with the light, creating shadows, that enhance its form.
